The 'Blood!' masters were unearthed by the members of Bl'ast! earlier in 2013 and delivered to Southern Lord Recordings. The label immediately contacted Dave Grohl to mix the material at his 606 Studios, on the legendary Neve console as featured in the recent Grohl-produced documentary 'Sound City', preparing the album for release somewhere in the vicinity of two-and-a-half decades after their inception. Additionally, the material was recorded with a rare line-up in the band's lineage, being the only recordings ever made while short-lived second guitarist William Duvall (Neon Christ, currently the vocalist for Alice In Chains) was part of the Bl'ast! family.
